the average rating for this is 3.66 which i know would throw many people off but man this is why you can’t always trust ratings and reviews cause i am having a blast with this! you really never know.

i’m THIS close to becoming a big fan of this author and reading her backlist. the way she writes is awesome—super engaging and every page ends with something new that i wanna unravel and continue reading.

Books sheltered her from the reality of an unhappy childhood, letting her hide between the pages of a story whenever real life got too loud. In an adulthood that proved to be no less problematic, books provided her with work, money, and purpose. Books kept a roof over her head and books put food on her table. She owes whatever happiness she has in the real world to fiction.

A 3..."i do all haha. sometimes books have low and high ratings for reasons, but of course, knowing me, i'm bound to not enjoy a popular book and love a non popular one haha. i agree though--3 star rating is a decent read.
are you talking about Beautiful Ugly? i meant to read it earlier this year when it came out but never got to it, but i might still do it since i wanna read this author's backlist. i have heard mixed reviews, ngl, so we'll see. i didn't have the best best experience with her the first time, as my first AF book was Sometimes I Lie and i gave it 3 stars (so didn't love it but didn't hate it), but this one was so much better. i think you should give her another chance!
Meanwhile, I find your excitement over this book really inspiring because I’d written this author off after I read her latest book earlier this year. Absolutely loathed the story and the characters, but had previously heard good things about her stories in general! So maybe I just read the wrong book from her backlist!!!
