The content of the book as far as information and ideas go is exactly what I was hoping it would be, but the writing is sophomoric -- too many first-person comments, poorly thought-out sentences like winding rivers that know where they want to go but are confused as to how to get there, and way too many exclamation marks. I guess this is a translation, so that could be partly to blame. But it's keeping me interested.

The prose is awful -- at least Bottero's is. Hopefully the other contributors are more coherent.
