I did not read Manacled, for no other reason than I never got around to it.
I am up to date with the controversy. I do not claim to side either way, I just enjoy reading.
You cannot ignore the fact that Manacled exists, so I will not ignore that fact while reading this.
So far, I love the concept. I do feel like the world building is forced; trying to prove it is not fanfic. It’s just way too much!!

Wow!! This book has AFFECTED ME!! I get that a book has to be marketed to sale, but this is so much more than a romance/romantasy. This is a deep dive into complex human emotion and relationships; politics and war. It's hard to explain where this story takes you and the parallels you're forced to see.
I finished part 2 and I am taking the suggested route and starting back at part 1. I'm already understanding more.
