One of the things I love about Dan Brown's books is the mix of history. In this book, the historical part has become almost a non-essential tag-on. At this point in the story, the history is almost gone, and the novel has evolved into a techno-thriller. The story is still very good and the storytelling is masterful. But I would like to have had more significant historical integration, as with his other books.
