tsoa, six of crows, and defy the night are all pretty basic recs but they all got me back into fantasy!

@maryam bro why is u waiting it’s a high fantasy with wrathful but omnipresent gods called the guardians which all take the form of the 8 sacred animals and there are chapters written from the point of view from one of the guardians (the raven) and there is a murder mystery but it unravels all the court politics and there are secrets and the final coming of the 8 is gonna happen if neema (our fmc) doesn’t figure it out and once the 8 come back the world will be destroyed and all of the characters have 10000 layers and are so morally grey and yet i love them all and its not another tiny petite skinny small white fmc she’s black and i wanted to sob with relief at the diversity. oh and it is insanely funny and addicting

Everybody in the fandom of asoiaf ( book community) despise the show at lest the last seasons they started ruining it from season 5. First 4 seasons were more or less close to books the rest is absolutely not.
