If I'm not mistaken...this series was written even before Gardner introduced the world to Perry Mason. In any event, it looks like a "fun" read...taking place before the the advent to cell phones & a digitized world

Yes, David, this was published in 1944. I don’t know whether or not it was before the Perry Mason stories, but I love reading books from this time period..the conversations are unique and like glimpsing into a time capsule.😊
