my brain is really cooking at the Hot Take factory... but dw i think this is a great book like everybody else. I just also think that a book dealing specifically with themes of home, questions of ownership, belonging somewhere, and the thievery vs reclaiming of property -- which is written by an author who grew up in Israel -- probably has textures layered deeper than its direct historical premise.
