the amount of lawyers, prosecutors, and judges throughout this book that express more concern for men potentially getting jail time, men not getting sexual fulfillment, and men’s “right to privacy” in a marriage, as opposed to being concerned about the violence towards women in abusive marriages, is making my skin crawl.

the fact that marital rape was still considered “not a thing” in the seventies is so disgusting. and unfortunately, the justice system still is weaponizing women’s sexual history. how does it feel like in fifty years our judicial system has hardly improved, if at all?
