It’s not a xianxia danmei if there isn’t a creepy weeding and a coffin scene.

I have a feeling that these two won’t get better once they **** in this life. Too much baggage.

That past live must be an absolute mess. Also tbh I think Mo Ran suffers from some sort of mental disorder. His erratic behavior is not normal.

This definitely reads like Mo Ran has a split personality. Exhausting.

Yeah, Mo Tan, you absolutely hate seeing Chu Wanning get 200 lashes because you hate him. [imagine my eyes rolling as hard as they can]. Why am I doing this to myself? Curiosity is a terrible thing.

It’s probably not in the cards, but it would be really interesting if Chu Wanning remembered his past life too.

I can’t help myself: I have started to like Chu Wanning. Imo Mo Ran can still go to hell.

No Ran’s past life sounds crazy just from the fact that he doesn’t even want to remember it even though he lived through doing many crazy things.
Also, I don’t believe at all that Shi Mei is the holy grail personified. If anybody is fake here, this guy’s the one.

Yup. Ghost marriages apparently are still a thing in rural areas and have been since the Han dynasty. There’s even a Wikipedia article about the topic. So no wonder it’s common in danmei too.
