He’s very introspective, his writing is a stream of consciousness remembering things as he remembers things. Not everyone has this kind of self reflection.

I am very impressed with Flea’s ability not only to recall with such clarity the events of his life but that he can also look back into them analyzing not only how he felt but the impact it had on him at the time. He then brings it forward commenting on who he was then and who he is now recognizing his faults and acknowledging what he was looking for in those events and his behavior around them.

The two of them together are electricity that wants to set thighs in fire. Thank God they figured out the could channel their crazy into music.

God blesses the freaks. I think there’s a special place in His heart for those who are truly trying, have absolutely no guidance, and would have died a hundred times were it not for His grace. Mike (later to be known as Flea), is one of those people and he found his fellow freaks in the rest of the RHCP crew. What a crazy wonderful story of how he grew up in the post hippie world of the 80s and meeting AK.

His writing is choppy, not a smooth ongoing recollection. But it connects because it’s chronological with the occasional flashback bit of info or a side note indicating a future self. I can hear him talking while I read.
