TEXT to TEXT: This book is relative to the book Narnia; The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe. These stories are similar, because they both have an "Ice Queen", and almost like a passage to different dimensions. In both of these books, the Ice Queen seeks all power and rules with an iron first. There are also children that are gifted that seek to stop the Ice Queen. This is what I find relative between the books.

VISUALIZE: Ophelia visits the museum regularly, because her father is a Sword smith . The town is cold and suburban. On pg.2 Ophelia's father says "while i'm away for work, you may explore the town and go ice skating." Something I can relate cold with is the smell of concrete after the rain. mint, and the color dark green. In my head the unnamed setting has pine trees, tiny cotts, and old people that drink tea.

CHARACTERIZATION: Ophelia is the main character who grieves over her mother's death and can see transparent/ magical beings. The book is clearly fiction, seeing how there is magic involved. The story is made up, but it feels real. If feels realistic because of the narration, and the pronouns used. The book went from 3rd person narrative to an embedded narrative. Switching perspective lets readers find more details

The stated antagonist of the book is the Snow Queen. "The Snow Queen likes nothing more than to destroy good things" (P. 20), showing that the Snow Queen enjoys ruining people and communities. "That summer, everyone was expecting her to show up and when she did, it was upon the starving, skinny kids. The ones that just escaped said she had teeth like razors" (P. 24). This shows that she is evil and shows no mercy.
