“But I see the apology hidden in the gaze he keeps pinned on mine” Girl, he lit your house on fire and you almost died and now you’re creating apologies where there aren’t any? Everything about these characters and relationships are fucked up and irredeemable. Clearly, this series was written by someone without a frontal lobe. I need a breather. I’m going to go get a sugar plum.

I hate how there is no difference in dialect/writing style when we switch the POV between Paedyn and Kai. They are written the exact same way and it’s unimaginative, boring, and tedious when you’re reading a 600 page book where all characters are expressing themselves with the same repetitive phrases. Even the writing itself is full of cliche phrases that don’t actually mean anything, it just sounds nice.

Starting this book and I remember very little from the first 2 1/2. I’m going to have to Google a recap. It’s just remember there’s a Walmart Aelin knock off.
