It took me a bit to get into the book or really just read it because of work, and life really.
This book is based on a mother who tells her story of being an actress in her twenties and she actually started out during her high school career.
One of Lara’s daughters remind me of the TV show: All Creatures Great and Small because her daughter is a vet who takes care of farm animals.

Finally got to chapter 19 out of 21 and Duke who is a major ASS!!!! dumped Lara for Pallace who now plays the leading role at the theatre. When I mean “dumped” I mean he didn’t tell Lara. She figured it out herself.

For a few chapters now, I just can’t wait to have Duke’s and Lara’s relationship to end because I believe it is toxic.

I love Duke’s brother, Sebastian because I do believe he is a gentleman. Duke on the other hand NEEDS to grow up and stop thinking of himself.

Lara is hard on herself because Duke is a druggie and possibly I would think alcoholic because he came into possession (started) that summer when he interacted with Lara do the first time. Lara wanted Duke to have a better life with no drugs etc if she stoped him. But let’s be frank here. He loved doing the drugs. He peered pressured her into it too. Like smoking.
