Feeling nauseous about this fish egg mastubation situation, reminiscent of Ali hazelwood’s Bride which I couldn’t handle either. Maybe I’ll just speed read through those parts?

I know I'm being dramatic but when I just saw on Libby that I've spent more than 3 hours with this book, I had a brief horrifying moment where I thought I was going to cry.
This is truly god-awful and I'm angry that I feel the need to finish it before reviewing it.
I'm angry because hating this book feels like punching down somehow, and I'm angry because this reads like A.I. pig slop instead of a final draft.

the age gap mommy stuff is giving me the ick too. 41 seems impossibly old to our childish narrator? fuck off. the way she pokes and whines about Steph's ex...my eyes are rolling so hard they hurt. grow up!
give me a sapphic age gap sugar baby romance with characters the same age as sarah catherine paulson and holland taylor, does that exist?
sorry to yuck the yum but barely legal fish sex ain't it. 🫣

"soaking up the complement" and apostrophes where they don't belong, did anyone do a proof read? some of the sentences don't even make sense, like they're missing entire words or phrases that would make them complete. AI? reading books this half-formed always makes me think that the author could've benefited from reading Matt Bell's Refuse To Be Done. Also, damn, what's holding me back? I could do this.
