Dear GR friends, do NOT fall for that “Silent Oppression” scam that’s circulating on here now.
Some user on here is sending invites for a “turn this book into a movie” group, only the book/author doesn’t exist. I researched, sent LLMs scouring the net. Couldn’t find a thing on either.
Based on group comments, author eventually sends you “special software” to be able to read the book. Avoid!

The novel is published and has an ISBN. However, the author reserves the right to offer it to readers according to his own philosophy.
The author wishes to dismantle the myth that the gigantic marketing machine of publishing houses with astronomical budgets has implemented in the minds of readers. This myth suggests the wrong idea that these elements are important: the author's name, the author's notoriety, the quality of the novel's cover, and reviews of any kind.
The most important element is this: THE STORY.
The author wants to direct the readers' attention solely and exclusively to THE STORY. That is, readers should discover only THE STORY first, without knowing details about the author, without seeing the novel's cover, and without seeing reviews that could mislead them.
The special software is a simple one to read the book in PDF format.
In conclusion, the action is not a scam, it does not fool anyone, it just offers a free story to read. But unfortunately there are also haters, who do nothing but defame.
If members decide to follow us and give a review, it is only their choice and we thank them in this way
As a miscellaneous fact (an example), for you I say: Everyone can become an author in which to write a book that they can convert to PDF and share with reading enthusiasts, without being very famous and without being published.
If you do not calm down with the defamation, you will be excluded from the group.
