One of my frustrations in reading Philosophy treatises is that the author creates a linguistic system of their own out of words and phrases that have another understanding in common contemporary usage. p.7 "final cause of the world" is almost completely opaque to me. If I squint and run through it several times I can devise my own meaning, but it may not assist my comprehension going forward through the book.
