I will say it with my chest i am not an RF Kuang fan and if that makes me the white girls who don’t get it they’re talking about in babel than i will accept it

Aww I’m sorry you’re not enjoying it! It is definitely a very unique style, but I appreciated the criticism of academia and how your values can be warped by the cutthroat environment lacking in any clear benchmarks beyond advisor’s approval. It does give all that backstory in fat chunks though and I can see how that would not match your preferred pacing for reading experience
I don't mind the commentary, I just don't like the timing. I also think Alice seems like she has Stockholm syndrome.
