I'll be interested to see what you think of this one! I was going to read it but then have heard certain things about it that made me put it on the back burner.

I really liked Mexican Gothic so I thought I’d give it a go. I’ll report back!

I finished it. It was super easy to figure out. I was hoping a twist would pop up but I knew the whole plot about 25% of the way in

Damn, that’s disappointing

I mean…it was entertaining. It’s well written. I really like the lore and the main characters. Even though I don’t think it’s marketed as YA, I think it’s a great choice for teen readers. It is be a fun, quick read for what it’s worth.

Okay so not a total dud then! I’m glad it still had redeemable qualities. I’ve had that issue more and more, where adult books read more YA than I feel they should. It doesn’t make it bad necessarily but it definitely messes with the reading experience when it doesn’t meet expectations.
