Chapter 26-III: after speaking with Joanna Huck is realizing he doesn’t scam them. His girls are a nice people and he’s considering whether to snitch out the key of the Duke doctor or take the money for himself. Hide it somewhere that sends a letter so he’s gonna go look for the money.

Chapter 26-II: they meet the sisters of the Wilkes man, Mary, Jane, Susan, and Joanna they make them believe that the king and the Duke are the British brothers of the Wilkes man who just died the only one that doesn’t fall for the scam is the doctor that nobody believes him. Huck is having an awakening. The scam doesn’t seem funny for him and he’s starting to see the girls as people. All Debating stay or go?

Chapter 26: the client decides to get on the steamboat because the keen and the Duke think it’ll be a good opportunity to run their next con. They paint them blue leave them in the raft so that he could pass off as a sick Arab with smallpox. In the steamboat the king of the Duke find out of the Wilkes man who just died and the fortune he’s left behind. They hear the story and decide that’s their scam.

Chapter 21: the group arrives to a town where the king of the Duke want to do a play for $.25 a ticket and $.10 a child and a slave. Huck witnesses an altercation between bogs and sherbet, which escalates quickly. Boggs is drunk and inciting the fight while Sherburn it’s basically telling him to back off and leave him alone, but ultimately Sherburne pulls out a gun and kills him now the town wants to Lynch Sherbrn.

Chapter 19: Huck and Jim enjoy the calm of the Mississippi, relaxing on the raft. Most of the time naked as often as the mosquitoes will allow. They encounter a man claiming to be a duke and another a dauphin, who insist on being treated by their titles. Jim complies, and by the end, Huck recognizes they’re frauds but decides it’s easier to let people believe what they want.

Chapter 18 Update:
Huck annoyed me here. Jim’s hiding in the swamp, fixing the raft and gathering supplies while Huck enjoys life with the Grangerfords. Sophia’s secret note sparks the feud, leaving several dead, including Buck. Feeling guilty, Huck flees the chaos, reunites with Jim who is happy to see Huck and glad he’s not dead, and they head back on the raft down the Mississippi eating a meal Jim prepared.

Chapter17: Buck is ~ 14. Huck n Jim are shipwrecked, Huck has ended up in the house of a family and is now friendly with Buck however, he has told the family that his name is George Jackson. The books on the table say the family are Calvinistic, pietist, political orthodoxes, and suggests popular notions of science and medical practice. He likes the Family and enjoys living with them. he’s been there for a while.

Chapter 16 Huck has been battling his conscious on outing Jim. He’s starting to see Jim as human rather than property. It’s not something that he’s come to terms with yet. It’s an internal battle with him since he’s still going back-and-forth, he hasn’t outed Jim yet. Also, their raft just got destroyed by a large raft and it seems like they are shipwrecked in Kentucky now and missed Cairo. 20 each by man

Huck felt bad for trying to make Jim believe that he was not gone during the fog when he was trying to get hold of the canoe.
