sorry so dante is 17 and jude is 23. six years apart. but dante was 14 when jude left four years ago (at 19? but he had only just graduated highschool?). how did a 14 year old and a 20 year old have a relationship where they knew each other well enough like jude claims but also jude never paid any attention to dante. is there some unreliable narrating happening?? this is just confusing

dante not wanting to bring about the apocalypse? understandable. dante being willing, easily, to die alá jesus to stop the apocalypse? feels... out of place. like idk he could just be saying shit but i dont think we have enough of an understanding of his character to agree. like we dont really know him outside his and jude's relationship. and then jude continuing the contradicting "knew dante/didnt know dante" thing

it sounds like dante is 18ish so like this should be fine, its not even as big an age gap as in the woods all black, but i do hate that we keep referring to dante as "the teen" and he still lives at his mom's house and goes to youth group like. im not sure why we needed that he couldve just been like 19 and living at home not going to college yet or whatever
