Framing my life this way, building narratives, had allure. But it felt reverse engineered, a trick learned like fortune telling or horoscopes. This kind of cause and effect, linear movement, it was paralyzing.They went backwards with a writers brain, adding a bunch of shit in between the lines. They put me like a tiny actor on a giant stage, reading a script, waiting for the cast to show up and hand me a prop.
