NO. Trigger warning but there’s a dead cat and a lot of gruesome detail and I HATE it

I really do struggle with justifying the (overused) cheating trope, I mean, I’m currently writing a whole research paper on it for uni… the book shows this guy is an asshole but I need more to feel better about its use

I understand authors writing main characters that are imperfect and hell a completely awful person at times too, we need those books for sure. But personally, that’s all I’ve been picking up (not deliberately) and having to endure really unlikeable characters for the whole book is frustrating
