I'm listening to this, Rusalka and wish I could have experienced this firsthand. As a city dweller, this is such a dream. Although you might be more familiar with farm life.

Oh, we are not rural or farm at all. So things like the farm equipment she talks about sound horrific! But we are lucky that our city is built around green spaces that means we have pockets of native landscape/parks around us with native animals. So I can empathise.

Listening to it as well. Not a good plod book, which is where I listen to a lot of my books. She makes me want to sit on a bench or a rock and watch the landscape, which is counterintuitive to a plod.

Yes, the book really brings the sense of nature closer. I tried to look up what 'plod' means but I don't think the English dictionary meaning is what you meant. Can you explain, please?
