I'm having a really hard time understanding how two people who haven't had a real conversation, don't speak for absurdly long stretches of time, and don't actually know anything real about one another- or arguably at all- are at the helm of a romance novel?? We shouldn't still be here 140 pages in- that's nutty?? I'm not- hm. Giving it a few more chapters before hurling it into the DNF pile.
