oh boy, the french in this book is bad... it's an easy read, it's fun, it's cute, but every now and then there's something. I am already skipping the poems. now it is grammatically incorrect french spells. please, just focus on the things you do well, dear writer, please please please

starting chapter 5. the setting is interesting, the characters seem fun, but oh boi, I have beef with the poems at the beginning of each chapter. they feel like they want to sound old, but use modern technical terms, and the rhymes and rhythm are sloppy at best.
