A bit disappointed but hopeful.We are introduced to our MC and her husband as well as their dynamic. How that information is relayed, however, feels a bit heavy handed. The first few chapters of anything is hard, but it’s okay to hold back on details! Something about “I am a beauty. It is well-known. My eyes are cornflower blue and my skin like spilt cream.” felt so Intro to Creative Writing that I had to pause
