My word, that last chapter was Kurt Vonnegut-ish.

Peter Mark, I thought this was one of Rushdie’s most fascinating books!

I look forward to reading your review after I've finished this - you are in good company mate (Javier and Kevin). I'm probably sitting on 3.5 stars at the moment. It is funny though. Have you read The Golden House? I loved that one.

Javier Fernandez On the bright side, Mark, this is much shorter than the original so you'll have much less suffering to endure, mate! :-)

Well thing is, I am far from suffering Javier. I think Ken Follett's weighty tome took me away from this one. Now I've finished it - I am back in QuixotteLand - strapped back in and finding it funny. Our protagonist has just entered NYC 😬😬🤡

It was 4* for me, Mark. And no, I haven’t read ‘The Golden House’, or even heard of it. Still, that’s easily rectified…
