“My allegiance for mommie’s desire for concealment went up in flames.I stared at an empty space within myself where shame used to be.Shame had once been a foundational emotion that I had built myself on top of.Now that foundational stone no longer fit.Whatever parts of mommie’s shame or worry that I had subconsciously absorbed or willfully taken were gone.”
