This books basically takes that idea without ever intending to make the game. And in a way that’s kind of brilliant. Because what ever game I imagine (In this case I picture a souls-like) it can never disappoint me.

This is quite well timed as I read a blog where someone mentioned that people begin playing a video the game before the game is ever released. People see a trailer and begin to imagine what the game play and narrative is going to be like years before it’s released. This kind of uses that idea and just creates a whole game.
