Such beautiful, vivid, tragic descriptions of what illness is like and how helpless one can feel in the hospital when their life is in the hands of someone they barely know. I’m a cancer patient and much of this book was very relatable from forming relationships with nurses/doctors to hearing stories about failed cases to not being sure when/how things will end.
