Ok so i’m deep enough into this where the story has gotten much more interesting. There are definitely cool cultural learnings sprinkled throughout that make this an enjoyable read overall, but it is still just a tad arduous to get through. I’m excited to move on to some quicker more succinct reads but curious enough to continue now that i’ve pushed this far. (I will DEF not be doing Vol. 2 right away…..)

Really unsure how i feel about this one. 50% of the book i’m on the edge of my seat wanting to know whats gonna happen next (to no grand conclusion) and the other 50% feels like a word vomit snooze fest. The fact that I’ve pushed a quarter of the way through the book and don’t feel particularly captivated makes me wonder if I want to continue for another 500 pages..
