reluctantly trying to finish this book

There’s a good amount of complex vocabulary but it’s just being sandwiched into what is, to me, a very juvenile writing style. That being said: the plot and world it’s built on is very intriguing and is keeping me reading. Hoping for less cringe and clichés as I go on..
