VISUALIZE: In my book, a scene that felt really descriptive was when Chang and Dash were going to lift the blanket to see if Nina was dead. On page 294, it says, "Chang unfolded the blanket and I caught a glimpse of Nina's head. Her normally perfectly gelled hair was a rat's nest, and her skin was an unhealthy grayish color." This uses good descriptive words and I can really visualize how disgusting Nina looks.

TEXT TO SELF: I can relate to Kira and Dashiell in this book. They are 12 years old, and definitely don't like following the rules. They push boundaries. Honestly, they probably do better detective work than most of the adults. They also never quit! I feel like they relate to me because I like to go out of my comfort zone and try new things. Sometimes the new things are scary or hard, but I always figure it out.
