Not sure why the writer spends so much of the beginning trying to convince us he’s a prude. I’ve also read here that for some inexplicable reason use of psychedelics made the writer a devout believer in transubstantiation and parthenogenesis, which should be a warning to all readers away from psychedelic use akin to the D.A.R.E. Videos of a man who took LSD once and is now institutionalized for life.
