recognizing yourself in one of Franzen's characters feels like performing on Broadway for the first time while butt naked. you're hating every minute of it but you're simply not able to leave it alone. I can't wait to finish this book. I will miss it so much.

I bet he is people watching and taking notes of subtilities of certain interesting personalities all day every day. I know his glossary of characters slaps so hard.
