What Mankell could do well, he could do very well. But I think his style, while easy to read, is far too granular for my taste or patience. Still, this is a very good novel....attached to an okay mystery. Possibly would have been better without Wallander and as a standalone.

Much easier going that I thought it'd be, vocab level-wise and we get stuck into the story/investigation very quickly.

I read most of the books in the series, perhaps it's time to re-read them. I remember I was very concerned about his health, surviving on junk food!

And the constant lack of sleep. I find it rather off-putting how he can go from being a normal, pleasant guy to "asshole cop" within seconds. Not something I enjoy seeing.
Hans svenska är inte så svår att lesa, så det är en njutbar upplevelse!
