In the chapter I just read, the author used the phrase “hurt people hurt people” unironically, and also: global pandemic (the “pan” implies that it is global, so it’s unnecessary to say both words - the general public does this all the time and whatever, it’s fine, but I’d expect more from a professional writer, or from her editors at least.) YIKES.
