The ending of this chapter was rough. The way we wanted to ignore AIDS, it brings tears to my eyes. The way a generation of gay men were gone from existence. It’s sad how every era has this darkness to it. Gonna be optimistic, we have elders now. We have to keep them safe! Now comes the roughest chapter departures. It is somewhat on the shorter side. So hopefully it’s easier to bare. We will never be erased!

Already gripping. The respect Alysia has for herself and her father’s story. This memoir is so visually immersive with its words. Visceral like I’m gliding through her memories. A bystander being guided through a dream like experience of a father and daughter coping with grief and trying to figure out life. I’m really loving this so far.
