Few other novels in my life have felt like such a waste of my time - but I am determined to finish it. Mostly so I can argue it’s sore points with anyone who claims it’s such a masterpiece. Argh. 😠

It’s taken me this far into the book to have some appreciation for McCarthy’s style. He DOES paint a clear picture of the devastation and emptiness of the landscape - as well as the meandering endless brutality of their expedition. I just really miss punctuation- my brain can’t absorb the text as readily without it.

So far. I hate this book. Ugh
