I think the way that Galsworthy worth the third generation- hope that’s the correct generation for Jolly and Val is beautifully written, it feels more in touch as a reader to understand their day to day thoughts and actions because the introduction was beautifully created with a play by play of the daily interactions with others, something I felt disconnected with Soames and Irene
