I still like the book but I have discovered that it was in fact an age gap trope. Abbie Emmons is incredible and her writing and imagination intruigued me a lot and I truly am enjoying the book. But as soon as I knew it was an age gap trope I was like nope! So imma read as much as I can and if I couldn't handle it then I'll have to dnf it. Love the characters and book, I'm just not fond of the age gap trope

I'm enjoying this book more than I expected! I just hope it's not an age gap trope. Admiration over looks is fine between an 18 year old and a 28 year old. "Innocent" admiration that is. But if it was romantic? I'd dnf the book bc I just don't think it's a trope that works for me 💀 but so far so good and literally everything I hoped for in this book 💕✨
