This book is lowkey making me feel illiterate. I find myself scanning the unbearably info-heavy paragraphs that I am unable to absorb because a) I have virtually zero knowledge of 14th century church history, b) I have no interest in the topic, and mst importantly c) I’m guessing it’s not going to be terribly relevant to the actual narrative. Not to be dramatic but this cannot go on for much longer!
