Yes! I think Lopez is worse. George Vavasor is also pretty bad, of course, but he is presented as someone of natural warmth, though with a terrible temper and impulse control. He is sometimes ashamed of his own actions. Lopez on the other hand, seems shameless.

Kathleen Flynn Of course, there is also that cad Adolphus in The Small House at Allington who engages himself to two women at once. But even he is presented somewhat sympathetically, as weak rather than setting out to deceive Lily on purpose.
