Chapter 8 has so many theological metaphors I had to read the chapter multiple times. I don’t see how a child could fully grasp this but I see how it could make one keep coming back, always discovering something new. I appreciate and observe that Macdonald definitely held to the belief that good stories should be a delight to the child + the adult because his are such!
