Finding out the truth behind Ava's childhood trauma was gut wrenching, but now that Im close to finding out Alex's.... and having a hunch that I might know what happened.... is even worse. This book is so good!

I was in the middle of wrapping my final Christmas presents for my littles, listening to this on audiobook WHEN I HIT THE SPICY CHAPTERS. I dropped my scissors so quick and stood, frozen in place, for a full two chapters and I'm pretty sure I didn't breathe almost the whole time. I might need to go back to those again... for review purposes of course ;)

So far I am enjoying the dynamic between Ava and Alex. Both of them have tortured pasts and I am liking how Huang is slowly peeling back the layers and giving us more and more of their past traumas.
