They don’t have my copy here that has the context but why did I just learn that 1. His works were never supposed to be divided by Act/Scene/Line and 2. King Lear doesn’t mention much about the predominant Christian faith at the time because parliament quite literally outlawed the word “God” from being spoken on stage, being seen as a form of blasphemy
