It was going well but then got to a part in the book that is so ridiculous I almost want to stop reading it.. it literally says Max’s dad gave her a real knife to go with her Halloween costume.. nobody in their right mind would do that.. and it’s written as if that’s a perfectly normal acceptable thing!
