This 2nd book of the trilogy is moving much more slowly than the first book. It's being told in the first person, Jay (10) his memories, thoughts, concerns, observations; not much character interaction. I'm not feeling it like I did the first book, The Beast and Me, however it's important that I finish this one because I feel the final novel is going to be a real eye opener!
