I haven't read any Abercrombie before (and also haven't wrapped gifts for this year yet)! What book would you recommend starting with?

@Kailyn the fun part is in your future! I did the Compare Books thing and I think maybe start with The Devil's. It's pretty contained, it's a comedy, has loads of tension, and some tasteful spice. You could also do the Shattered Sea; people hate on it, but I finished 2 out of the trilogy in less than a week. It's NA, Norse-inspired, strong protagonists. Very fun.
