Most of the story is just Scott and Barda trying to balance their lives as Legionaries/Leaders of New Genesis, with their marriage and parenthood. It’s so fun watching them deal with baby problems or remodeling their apartment while fighting a vicious never ending war. And now they’re forced to face the decision of sacrificing their child to end said war.

Okay, so the grid paneling thing is starting to grow on me. The artist here just knows how to make it work. Really enjoying the book so far, it’s like a dark philosophical splice of life sitcom, with bits of action gore and death sprinkled throughout
